Time to renew

Just renewed the howboring.com domain. I have had it for two years. Wow! Time surely does fly.

Mac not back

The laptop is still being repaired. It should be ready on Monday. Its taken them two weeks to fit a CD drive. Sheesh.. I am speechless....

Bustin' makes me feel good

I have rented eighty three videos from Block Buster since 13/10/2001.

You may be wondering how or why I rent so many videos, or what I do actually rent. Part of the reason for the huge amounts is that it is cheap to rent lots of movies. At the moment they have deal where by you get 5 "weekly" rentals for $10.75.

So last night yesterday I rented:

Tommy Boy
Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo
The Dish
Me Myself and Irene
Shaft (the new one with Samuel L Jackson)

I also rented "Star Trek Voyager 7.12 - Homestead/Renaissance".
They dont show Voyager on TV here. So I am forced to rent the latest episodes on video. A new one comes out each month and it must be getting near the last one soon!!!. People tell me the Voyager finale was a bit rubbish. But I dont care, I still wanna watch, and no I dont want to know what happens!
Which reminds me: That new Star Trek Enterprise series is total rubbish.

The new Buffy & Angel series have not been as good as in the past, but not as bad as people say. I think/hope they will get better as the season continues.

And in case you think I watch too much TV as well, let me tell you I dont. I only watch those shows. Oh and "The secret Life of Us" which is quality.

boo

I am so missing out on stuff because of my finger. The major things I have been unable to do so far are two lots of surfing and two visits to the local Go-Kart centre. Both of which looked way cool. I love Go-Karting, its like one of my all time favourite things to do. I have also been unable to participate in swimming, surfing, kite flying, mini-van driving, baseball, rock climbing, and Dolphin Swimming.

I had another visit to the Therapist today and its looking good. I still cant use the hand very well but it should repair itself OK. :-)

hold up

The laptop has gone in for repair. The warranty runs out in a few days and the CD drive needed fixing. It has been making a sound like a buzz saw whenever a CD is inserted. It should be back within seven days.

This means that replies to emails and updates to howboring.com will be further delayed.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and wish you a pleasant flight.

2160 Pilchards

According to the Penguin visitors centre on Phillip Island, if I were a Penguin I would need to eat 2160 Pilchards a day.

Now that doesnt sound right to me, but the computerised Pengo-tronic weighing machine cant be wrong.

Unless you realy love cute little Penguins and are prepared to stand around for hours waiting for them to emerge from the sea, then I would avoid the whole Philip Island penguin experience. It really isnt very impressive. Paris Island would have been more fun as far as I am concerned.

btw

I did a Hapkido grading on the weekend. Tricky given the state of my hand, but it went OK-ish I think. More on this soon too.
-----12:48 AM-----

whatever

I have a house full of guests at the moment. So I have not been spending much time at the computer, nor have I spent much time reflecting on stuff.

But I you can rest assured that there will be a flury of new posts in the next few weeks. I promise.

The finger is still screwed. But its getting better and at least it isnt terminal. I'll be providing extenisive details on this soon, along with some animation of the whole gory affair. I will however let you know that it was the first time I have ever heard a Doctor say "Give me the finger". That could have gone either way given the amount of pain I was in.

And I promise to reply to emails soon.
